How it began and where it is now
I have always had an interest in the body and how it moves, after being a dancer for over 20 years and experiencing back pain myself, I developed a curiosity about the body's ability to heal and a desire to help others feel their best. I began my journey as a therapist in 2007 while working in Notting Hill in one of the top five day spas in London and continued in Perth where MyoRelease was established in 2013.
Alongside my massage practice, I spend my time as a Lecturer at one of Perth's largest TAFEs teaching the Diploma of Remedial Massage, guiding students through their own journey of massage. Teaching has become another one of the most rewarding aspects of my career — watching others discover their passion for this work and helping shape the next generation of compassionate, skilled practitioners.
At MyoRelease Massage, I offer treatment for clients of all ages, with a strong focus on relieving chronic pain, reducing tension, and promoting stress reduction and relaxation. My approach centers around activating the parasympathetic nervous system — enhancing the body's natural state of rest and repair — to support recovery and long-term wellbeing.
I specialise in treating clients experiencing chronic pain and for maintenance, with the goal to reduce tension and pain in everyday activities and movements. Working to restore the body's natural mobility and balance I will analyse the potential cause of symptoms and the current mobility of the musculoskeletal system to target the area which may have been involved. I also have a wonderful network of health practitioners if ever a referral is required for further investigation.
Another modality I specialise in is Reflexology. This can be a powerful treatment that pays particular attention to the lower legs and feet. It can help alleviate symptoms of conditions such as plantar fasciitis, as well as general foot and calf tension from repetitive use.
Every session is designed to provide a calm space for the body to unwind — allowing the nervous system to reset, tension to melt away, and the body's own healing mechanisms to activate. Through a combination of remedial massage therapy, focused breathing, and intentional relaxation, I support clients in finding relief, recovery, and renewed vitality.
